Dosing for new users
The single most important rule: START LOW, GO SLOW.
| Format | First-time dose | Wait before re-dosing |
|---|---|---|
| Flower / vape | 1 puff | 10–15 minutes |
| Edible | 2.5–5 mg THC | 2 hours (no exceptions) |
| Tincture | 5 mg sublingual | 45 minutes |
| Concentrate | Half a grain-of-rice dab | 15 minutes |
A "standard" recreational dose is 5–10mg of THC. Some daily users take 50–100mg. There is no fatal overdose, but there is a "way too high, miserable for 4 hours" experience that we want every customer to avoid.
Tolerance
Tolerance builds quickly with daily use. After 2–4 weeks of daily THC, the same dose hits less. Two ways to manage:
- T-break (tolerance break): stop for 7–14 days. Receptors reset.
- Microdosing: 1–2.5mg doses, 2–4 times a day. Sustainable, less buildup.
Microdosing
Small, sub-perception doses (1–2.5mg THC). Goal: subtle mood/focus/sleep benefit without the high. Popular for daytime productivity, anxiety management, creative work.
